Privacy Policy

THE SHORT VERSION

You can use Oofnomics without giving us any personal information. Your handle is your only identity. We don't track you, sell your data, or show you ads. If you choose to create an account with an email, that email is stored securely and never shared.

WHAT WE COLLECT

• Handle: The anonymous name you choose or generate. This is your only public identity.
• Confessions: The stories, damage amounts, and lessons you submit.
• Votes & comments: Your OOF reactions, worth-it votes, and comments.
• Email (optional): Only if you choose to create an account. Stored securely via Supabase Auth. Never displayed publicly.

WHAT WE DON'T COLLECT

• Real names or identity verification
• Location data or IP addresses
• Browser fingerprints or tracking cookies
• Third-party analytics or advertising data

ANONYMOUS BY DEFAULT

Oofnomics uses anonymous sessions by default. You don't need an email, phone number, or any personal information to confess. Your anonymous session is stored locally in your browser. If you clear your browser data, your session ends and there is no way to recover it unless you created an account.

DATA STORAGE

All data is stored on Supabase (hosted on AWS). Authentication data is managed by Supabase Auth with industry-standard encryption. We use Row Level Security (RLS) policies to ensure users can only access their own data.

DATA DELETION

You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at privacy@oofnomics.com. We will remove your profile, confessions, comments, and any associated data within 30 days.

CHANGES

If we ever change this policy, we'll update this page. We won't start collecting more data without telling you first.
