Sold both Pelotons, deleted shopping apps, and finally hit zero debt

STARTED AT$5,800
RECOVERED$5,800
TIMELINE10 months

Remember the guy who bought two Pelotons right before getting dumped? That was me. Those bikes became a monument to my worst impulse. But instead of letting them collect dust forever, I sold both on Facebook Marketplace, deleted every shopping app from my phone, and set up a 'cooling off' rule -- anything over $100 has to wait 72 hours before I buy it. Turns out 90% of the time I don't even want it after 72 hours. Cleared the remaining $3,200 I owed from that era and I haven't impulse-bought anything in 8 months. Do I still hate cycling? Yes. But at least I hate it for free now.

Turning PointSet a 72-hour cooling-off rule for any purchase over $100.
Lesson LearnedA 72-hour rule will save you more money than any budgeting app.
Does the 72-hour rule actually work?
