Forgot to cancel a free trial and paid for software I never opened for 2 years

Signed up for some productivity app that promised to "10x my workflow." Did the 7-day trial, didn't like it, forgot to cancel. It was $49/month. I didn't notice for 24 months because I never check my credit card statements (another problem). That's $1,176 for an app I opened exactly once on the day I signed up.
